The Story Behind
Within Pages®

Most of us spend more time managing what is happening around us than understanding what is happening within us. Work has a way of doing that. There is always something that needs attention; a decision to make, a conversation to have, a problem to solve, another demand arriving before the last one has fully resolved.

Over time, it becomes easy to keep moving without paying much attention to the person doing the moving. It is not from the lack of care, rather, life rarely creates the conditions for us to notice. Yet, the way we think, respond, decide, and relate to others shapes far more than we realise.

Long before a leadership title appears, before anyone formally recognises us as a leader, and before we are responsible for leading teams, organisations, or businesses, self-leadership has already begun. It is the on-going, ever improving practice of understanding ourselves well enough to lead our lives, our decisions, and our influence with greater intention.

Within Pages® was created to support that practice.

Within Pages® is a research backed structured self-leadership framework and reflective practice designed to help people understand how they think, decide, and lead. At its heart is a simple belief. That the quality of our leadership is inseparable from the quality of our self-understanding. Leadership is always expressed through a person, their judgement, their assumptions, values, habits and their willingness to assess themselves honestly.

The Within Pages® Leadership Series creates a structured space for that work. Rather than providing answers or telling people who they should become, this series helps surface what is already shaping in their leadership, often quietly and out of view.

For some, that work begins before their first leadership role. For others, it begins years into one. The timing matters less than the decision to begin.

For coaches, consultants, trainers and leadership development practitioners, Within Pages® provides a structured reflective practice that helps those conversations continue between sessions and beyond programs.

Lasting leadership growth rarely comes from a insight alone. More often, it comes from the the ongoing practice of paying attention to the person doing the leading.

Within Pages Founders

Founder's Note

The leaders we have worked with rarely struggled with capability. What they struggled with was clarity, the kind that only comes when you slow down long enough to hear yourself think.

We created Within Pages® because that gap is real, and it is costly. Leaders navigating high-pressure decisions and complex environments are often the least likely to have a structured space to process what they are carrying. The result is not failure. It is decisions made on incomplete thinking, and growth that stalls between one conversation and the next.

Within Pages® was built to close that gap. The journals are structured around a dual-lens reflection framework, a Coaching Lens that surfaces values, assumptions, and patterns of behaviour, and a Leadership Lens that grounds reflection in real impact on people and teams. Together, they give leaders a private, rigorous practice they can sustain independently.

This is not a wellness tool. It is a performance discipline for leaders who take their development seriously.

I hold a Global Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Business School, with specialisations in organisational leadership, strategic communication, change management, and meaning-making in leadership context. And, I have spent nineteen years working at the intersection of business, technology, and leadership across ANZ and APAC. Within Pages® is built on that experience, and on a shared belief that structured reflection is the foundation of every leader worth following.

What drives this work is simple. Moving vision into meaningful work that lasts.

Built from Practice

Within Pages® was developed through research, coaching experience, and direct contribution from practitioners with frontline experience supporting leaders through complexity, transition, and high-stakes decision-making.

The research grounding draws on four disciplines:

  • emotional intelligence
  • adaptive leadership
  • behavioural science
  • guided journaling methodology.

These are not appended as theoretical context. They are embedded in how each module is structured, how reflection prompts are sequenced, and how each volume builds on the last across The Within Pages® Leadership Series.

The result is a leadership reflection journal series designed to be used independently, within coaching engagements, and licensed consistently across organisational leadership development programs.

The leaders who think clearly, lead differently.
